These highlighted entities represent one or more of the following: recognized international entities; registered nonprofit organizations with broad geographic or programmatic focus whose activities are lawful, ethical and transparent, and who have been recognized by external validation bodies such as Charity Navigator; and exemplary models of regional or local organizations.
