Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How can I make a donation?
End Slavery Now (ESN) does not accept donations from individuals or corporations. We encourage you to give to one of the organizations listed on our homepage, or to support the work of your local community-based anti-trafficking organization.
Why don’t you accept donations?
End Slavery Now is self-funded. By remaining financially independent, ESN is able to remain fully neutral and non-partisan. One of ESN’s purposes is to support the work of other anti-slavery organizations, not to compete against them by diverting precious donation resources.
How can I help? Do you have volunteer opportunities?
Yes! End Slavery Now is a volunteer-based nonprofit. Please click the “Careers” link on our homepage to check out our current listings.
Keep in mind there are lots of ways you can help. One of the easiest things you can do to spread awareness is to put up flyers at your school or in your community. You’ll find End Slavery Now flyers in our Take Action database.
You can also help by joining End Slavery Now on facebook and inviting your friends! And if you’re on twitter, please follow @27millionslaves and retweet our tweets to your friends. Every time you spread the word you’re helping end modern slavery.
And if you’re REALLY bold .. ;) … get yourself an endslaverynow.com email address and help raise awareness with every email – slavery still exists!
Do you have internships?
Yes! End Slavery Now offers unpaid internships during the summer, as well as during the fall and spring semesters. Summer internships are half-time and require you to dedicate 20 hours per week to a position. Fall and Spring internships require a 10-15 hour per week commitment. All internships are Internet-based. You must have access to a computer and the Internet. Please click the “Careers” link on our homepage to see our current listings.

I don’t see my favorite organization listed on your homepage. Would you consider adding them?
Groups listed on this website are vetted carefully according to an extensive set of criteria and are intended to be representative of selected:
- recognized international, federal or state government entities;
- registered nonprofit organizations with broad geographic or programmatic focus, whose activities are lawful and ethical, and, preferably, who have been recognized by external validation bodies such as Charity Navigator; or
- limited examples of model regional or local organizations.
Please be aware that the process of investigation and vetting takes time. Please note that we cannot enter into a correspondence concerning any specific organization.
There’s another great resource I think you should add to your website – what should I do?
Great! Please send the link to us at info@endslaverynow.com. If it doesn’t duplicate what’s already listed and it fits our core purpose, we’ll get it up there.
Can I add an idea to the Take Action Database?
We LOVE crowd-sourcing! Please send us your idea at info@endslaverynow.com and if it fits, we’ll get it listed.
Are you going to upgrade the way the site looks?
We’re working on version 2.0 now! :)
